We have a new kitty! Her name is Alaska (that's what the shelter called her, anyway). She's not the one we originally were going to get, but Snowie (the one I found online) ended up already being spoken for. Alaska is also all white and the same age so we decided it was the universe saying we should get her. This took about an hour, though, and good god I never want to go into a shelter again.

It helped that this one is no-kill though. They don't advertise it, but I asked how long they keep the animals and the guy said forever. They have a bunch of dogs too, which is sad. Especially since a bunch are badly trained pit bulls :(

But, we have the kitty and she is adorable. Pics will be forthcoming. She hadn't been tested for Leukemia, but she was an indoor cat and the owners gave her up cause they were moving, so as long as she didn't get it in the shelter she should be fine. I'm going to have her checked out, anyway, just to make sure.

She's a bit of a spaz, and Simba doesn't quite know what to make of her yet. He keeps hissing but hasn't tried to hit her or anything. I think he's just confused and a little scared. She's incredibly playful and was just a second ago was meowing at me because I wasn't chasing her under the bed.

She's also eerily similar to Stitch. She bats at the water in the bowl, has a tiny head with big ears and big eyes, jumps at things that don't exist, and moved the water bowl around. If she starts carrying socks around I'm going to start thinking Stitch is possessing her.

Anyway, I know no one cares about this but me, hah, but I was excited :) I will get cute pictures soon and spam them around.
